Adding mulberry silk to a piece of felt work adds definition and an entirely different dimension. This natural fibre shines and resists blending in with other fibres for example Merino wool during the fulling process. The colours are vivid and the texture of the silk is wonderfully smooth.

Mulberry Silk is also known as Bombyx silk or Cultivated Silk. The best quality silk you can buy. It is produced from the silk worms of the Bombyx Mori Moth. Their diet consists of Mulberry leaves. Mulberry silk is produced in a controlled warm environment.
