I often photograph landscapes during my travels and enjoy creating pieces of wet felted artwork which depict these scenes. Sometimes they are portrayed as accurately as possible or a new dimension of texture or colour is added.
Below are a few examples of my work. Some have been created as commissions using my clients own photographs and others are favourite local landmarks and locations I have visited. Each piece is created using wet felting techniques and detail is added using needle felting and machine embroidery.
The picures are primarily created using merino wool with effect fibres such as mulberry silk, sari silk, Angelina fibre, nepps, curly wool and acrylic gemstones added to add texture and focal points.
If you would like to commission a wet felted piece of artwork and have a landscape in mind please get in touch for further details. Prices start at £120 depending upon the detail, size and whether you would like the piece professionally framed. I do recommend non reflective glass which emphasises the different textures within each piece.
