Description
Create a beautiful felted lampshade. On this workshop you will have an opportunity to work with a wide selection of materials including soft merino wool, mulberry silk, sari silk and yarn. Choosing a theme for example grasslands, mountains or seascape you will design your shade then lay out the fibres ready to turn into felt. Once dry you will embellish and add detail to your felt using needle felting techniques.
Throughout the day with careful guidance you will be encouraged to experiment and use pictorial examples as inspiration.
Please bring a medium sized towel, images to use as inspiration and a packed lunch.
The workshop runs from 10am until 3.30pm and is based in Staindrop or Barnard Castle and all materials and light refreshments are included.
