Workshops

I offer a range of workshops to suit all abilities from absolute beginners to those wanting to refine their felting skills. Please see below to find out more about my courses. I offer workshops on felted landscapes, illuminated felt, lampshade making, Shibori techniques, felted pebbles and needle felting.

Wednesday 5th June

Materials and equipment provided

Come along for a morning of wet felting. You will use Merino wool, mulberry silks and embellishments to create a unique piece of abstract artwork which will be mounted and wrapped in cellophane for you to keep and admire.  All materials, equipment, Tea and cake are included.

Please bring an old medium sized towel, an apron and gloves if you are sensitive to soap/mild detergents.

Thursday 20th June

Create a wet felted landscape using Merino wool mixed fibres and embellishment. 

 About the Course 

This full day wet felting workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those wanting to refine their felting skills. During the day, you will use a variety of traditional felting tools to create a landscape using soft Merino wool and add detail using mulberry silks, Angelina fibres, nepps and curly locks. When your work is dry you will then use needle felting techniques, embellishment and embroidery to add detail. Throughout the day you will be given advice and encouraged to use your own creativity to produce a piece of artwork which is unique and something to be proud of.

Please bring an old medium sized towel, apron and gloves if you are sensitive to soap.

Sunday 30th June

During this 5 week course you will learn the basics of wet felting, create a felted landscape and learn how to add detail using needle felting techniques. We will also be creating illuminated vessels and experimenting with Shibori techniques.
